Private Bird Walk at Broadmoor

This past Saturday I was hired to lead a small group of beginning birders on their first ever birding excursion. We chose Broadmoor, a Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuary where I have been to A LOT in the past few years, leading Fungi Field Walks. In fact, I will be there doing just that on this coming Saturday. I met the group as they assembled at the front of the Nature Center, many of them having traveled an hour or more to get there. Some of them were meeting one another for the first time, and I learned that they are collectively “The Crew.” The hold events twice a month or so, one member suggested birding, and another member happens to be an Urban Nature Walk supporter, and suggested me as the birder.
